First of all thanks for visiting and finding your way here. Like a dodo, a flightless extinct bird, we can't fly or know about rc model airplane aeronautics. But as time goes by we will leave that dodo personality and we will be able to know how to fly rc model airplanes! Just in case you are wondering why I choose "for dodos?" Actually it should be "for dummies." But that phrase is already forbidden to use and it's too general, so I've chosen something very close to the world of aviation. A bird, specifically, a Dodo! an innocent flightless creature.

You are free to surf around and email me for any comments or suggestions because this site is intended for everybody new flying. Like in other kinds of endevour, the first step is the most difficult part. Yes there are thousands of resources out there where you can learn about aircraft on how they are built and flown but they aren't so easy to understand. Well folks, the long wait over! This easy to learn course, like what they say "for rest of us" will guide you before you go to the flying field and take-off with your first airplane.

The first course you need to learn is the components of an rc airplane and radio control equipment, and some basic knowledge on why they fly, how to control the airplane, stability or balancing the aircraft and so fort and so on. The first step is the most crucial one because learning the pre-flight lesson will give the aspiring student pilot the ability to speed up the learning process on the actual flying lesson to build his or her skill. RC Model Airplane: Theories & Practice for Dodos

Chapter 2 : Why and How RC Model Airplanes fly - This chapter will discuss the aerodynamic forces acting on an rc airplane. It will discuss a little bit more on the fact that the wings makes the airplane fly.

Chapter 3 : Stability and Control - one of the most important aspect of flying is controlling the rc airplane in the sky as well as on the ground. To be successfull on flying the model airplane, it should be stable and controllable. Without these, it will be impossible to land it in one piece.

Chapter 4 : Weight and Balance - a light weight and perfectly balanced rc model airplane is a sureball on successfull flying. This chapter explain the importance of weight consideration and how and why you should balance the rc airplane.

Chapter 5 : Airplane Powerplant - power or thrust is a moving force that makes an airplane fly. The wings generates lift because it moves through the air by means of the powerplant. This chapter will explane the components of the rc airplane powerplant.

Chapter 6 : Choosing my First Model Airplane - learn why you should choose an ugly model airplane on your first trainer rc airplane and why not the beautiful scale model airplane that you've always dreamed of.
