About Model Aeronautics for Dodos
This site is intended specifically to the rest of us. Not everyone knows much about aeronautics like me when I was just starting to learn this wonderful hobby. Before I thought that these crazy little thing are just toys that you can buy in a toy store and control it like a simple remote control car or boat. But when you started to get in to this hobby, you will learn that it is not so simple. By ignoring the basics of aeronautics, you will just end up with a pile of expensive litter. Before you will learn to fly, you will encounter several crashes if you will not properly take the initial steps, that is, knowing about aeronautics. But somehow, thanks for the modern innovation of rc flight simulators which will speed up our learning the skill of flying specially the orientation of controlling the aircraft in different directions. For example if the aircraft is flying towards you, it will be confusing. Lately I discovered a free download of flying model simulator which I'm having fun using it. I'm amazed how this program duplicates the real model flying scenario ( for free! of course! ). You can download it in this site: Flying Model Simulator The drawings are done in autocad so forgive me if there are some exaggeration and mistakes. I'm a CAD engineer by profession and have a background in Aeronautical Engineering so I think the articles you will read or have read is somehow substantial. Honestly I'm not an active rc aircraft modeler for many years now. But the things I've learned in this hobby is unforgettable and wish to impart it in my own little way. I'm not an expert myself, which I guess is more advantageous because I can relate much better to those who were new. So thanks again and hoping you will come back more often, share your thoughts and tell your friends about this site!
